Aboyne Rural Hospice Charity Art Auction - Elora

Sue Hosking led a life brimming with adventure, residing in many locations around the world while holding a special place in her heart for both the Territories and her cherished Elora/Fergus area. As a talented artist, avid trail walker, skilled skater, and beloved skating coach, she touched many lives as a sister, aunt, daughter, friend, and more. Her adventurous spirit and kindness will be remembered fondly by all who knew and loved her. Sue’s experiences in Northern Canada and her deep affection for dogs and nature profoundly influenced the subjects of her beautiful watercolor paintings. Though she did not widely publicize her talent, she often gifted her artworks to friends and family, who treasured them deeply. In the latter part of her life, Sue expressed a desire for her legacy to support the Aboyne Rural Hospice. This auction has been thoughtfully prepared by her friends, with all proceeds dedicated to supporting the creation of a new residential hospice in rural Wellington County.

CONDITIONS OF ITEMS SOLD & OUR ONLINE CATALOGUE: Our best efforts are made to represent all items accurately in descriptions and photographs; however, all items are ultimately sold on an 'as is, where is' basis, with all faults. We strongly encourage all bidders to personally verify the condition of each item during the scheduled preview times. No responsibility is assumed by Rapid Sell or the seller for any errors or omissions.  The bidder is deemed responsible for their own bidding action, knowledge & skill set for any bid placed on any auction item.

All bidders/buyers must be of legal age.

RESERVE: Seldom are items sold with Reserve. If an item is being sold with a reserve, it will be clearly marked and identified. For items sold with a 'reserve', you will be required to pay a minimum amount in order to win the item.

AUCTION RECORDS: In the unlikely event of a dispute, you agree to accept as true the information that we have in our records.

SOFT CLOSE: Items close at regular intervals. To prevent a bidder from 'sniping', all bids made in the last minute of the auction will force an item to stay open for an additional 3 minutes. This will continue until all bidding has ceased. Most of our auction lots close in 10 second intervals. In other words, if an auction has 100 lots and is scheduled to close at 9:00 p.m., the first lot will close at 9:00 pm (soft close in effect) while the 100th lot will close at approx. 9:16 p.m. (soft close in effect).

STRATEGY: We recommend that ALL BIDDERS put in their maximum bid when placing a bid online. This does not mean you will have to pay the amount you bid; you only pay one bid more than the next highest bid, and only up to your maximum bid. The software system will play out the bids as you would at a live auction and only uses the funds required to beat out the under-bidder at the prescribed bid increment.

CATALOGUE ERRORS & OMISSIONS: If a description does not match a picture in a lot, the description takes precedence. All items are sold on an 'as is, where is' basis, with all faults.

By bidding you are acknowledging agreement with the terms above.  Do not bid unless you agree to all of these terms.
